How much is the accommodation fee?	Please refer to the website of Division of Student Housing → STUDENT HOUSING → Housing Rates. https://sthousing.site.nthu.edu.tw/p/412-1254-12097.php?Lang=en Fees are charged according to the dormitory and room type. One-semester accommodation fee is for 5 months, and it will be charged with the Tuition Bill for each semester.
What is the Utensil Custody Fee? When will it be refunded?	The Utensil Custody Fee is NTD1,000, and it will be refunded without interest after the property is checked and there is no violation of the dormitory rules after the expiration of the accommodation period. Academic year dormitories will be charged once a year, and will be charged when paying the Tuition Bill, while those in alternate dormitories will be charged when paying the dormitory fee, and will be refunded after the end of the academic year (approximately before the end of August each year). The Utensil Custody Fee for summer vacation accommodation will be charged separately, which will be paid together with the summer accommodation fee, and will be refunded after the summer vacation (approximately before the end of October each year). If you apply for a school loan, you need to pay The Utensil Custody Fee to the Student Assistance Division on September and February every year when the Student Assistance Division accepts the school loan.
What is the dormitory bed deposit? Will it be refunded?	Most of the beds in the waiting period are provided by the beds of the boarding students who have canceled the beds. In order to consider the students who have accommodation needs, they can successfully wait for the beds and avoid being affected by those who have applied for beds but have no accommodation needs. Therefore, if the beds are not cancelled within the time limit, A bed deposit will be charged. The bed deposit will be calculated gradually. Those who have paid the accommodation fee will be refunded proportionally. Those who have not paid the accommodation fee will be paid together with the tuition bill. In accordance with Article 5 of the Dormitory Rules “Dormitory Bed Deposit, dormitory fee and refund”
Should I pay the tuition fees to both Universities? Is there any support on accommodation?	Generally, registration fee (for application) at Host University will be charged but the tuition fee is waived. The fees for accommodation, insurance, internet might be charged separately. If the on-campus accommodation is promised in the agreement, you still have to pay for the accommodation. Some universities will request you to pay the Program Fees, Social Fees, and Registration Fees. Please contact DRC for details.
How much money I should prepare in terms of living expenses? How can I find accommodation?	Living Expenses differ between counties and living standards. We recommend you to consult Host University for basic information and then evaluate by yourself. Some Universities promise on-campus accommodation; if not, there will be a coordinator to provide suggestions on accommodation.
Is there any scholarship for the Dual Degree Programs?	Some Host Universities offer scholarships, guaranteed salary, and assistantship. You can check the programs for more details. In addition, NTHU provides Dual Degree Program Scholarship on a competitive basis.
I didn't take any classes during "grade 4 in NTHU" and I wasn't at NTHU. Why do I have to pay the tuition for NTHU in Bachelor+MA Program?	Students have to be "NTHU student" to apply for the program. Students have to complete the registration procedure, to apply for the program as NTHU student and visa so students have to pay for the NTHU tuition fee. Does NTHU or American University offer scholarships to students who wish to study in the US? If so, what are the procedures and qualifications? Is there a fee subsidy that I can apply for? Is there any scholarship for international students?	We offer NTHU scholarship to doctoral, master undergraduate and bachelor students at school. Besides the award from NTHU, we also manage the Government Scholarships from Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, such as Taiwan Scholarship, Elite Scholarship and Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship. How much does National health insurance cost for foreign students?	In accordance with the regulations of the National Health Insurance Administration, International freshmen need to enter Taiwan and stay for 6 months before they can participate in the National Health Insurance According to the regulations, the NTD4956 prepaid premium will be collected in the tuition fee. (a per-semester basis)
